Artist's Comments

This is "ninja," written in the cursive Sousho script. That little mark is my artist's stamp, which shows the size of the original piece (2 feet long).

I wanted to capture a sense of elegant movement with this word and am pleased with how it came out. I hope you enjoy!

I scanned it in sections and then lined the sections up in Photoshop and did some playing around with the contrast and levels. And thank you! :)

(It's a huge brush: I paid $50 for it, which is cheap for serious calligraphers but is the most I've paid for a brush so far. It's also one of my favorites to work with for big dynamic strokes.)

:D oh shit, $50 :O I only use $6 for a 3 diff. sized small brushes(about 1 inch), sable haired(like this brush even for watercolor painting :D, i don't need to switch the brush.) of course i tried ink drawing/sumi-e with that brush, love it

scanned in sections?! does it means that the calligraphy was actually been cut-off? to about 3 or 2 sections?
